Eating Pono

Getting pono with your diet means to nourish your body with foods that promote balance and well-being. This involves choosing whole, unprocessed foods that are prepared in ways that retain their nutritional value. Eating pono means listening to your body's needs, eating mindfully, and being aware of the impact your food choices have on your health and the environment. It's about creating a harmonious relationship with food, where what you eat supports your physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Use ho’oponopono to bring balance and harmony to your diet. This involves a mindful approach where you connect deeply with your body and the food you consume, acknowledging and releasing any negative feelings or guilt associated with eating. Start by focusing on the food in front of you, expressing gratitude for its nourishment. As you are preparing your food and as you eat, repeat the ho'oponopono mantra: " I love you, I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you." The mantra is directed towards yourself, recognizing past mistakes in eating habits. Apologize to yourself for continuing them so long, ask for forgiveness, show appreciation for the sustenance provided, and express love for yourself and the journey towards a healthier relationship with food. By integrating ho'oponopono into your dietary habits, you create a positive, respectful, and healing relationship with eating, moving towards being pono with your diet.

The better we eat, the better we feel, the stronger we become. When we nourish our bodies with healthy foods, we are more; more energetic, more focused, more productive.
